ENERGY SAVING DESIGN

WHAT IT IS

The energy saving design , is a design discipline, in close correlation with the technical aspects of diagnosis and certification of energy efficienc. It has, as its purpose, not so much the design of the plants (heating and cooling), but rather the energy saving design itself. In essence, both for new buildings that for existing structures (civil or industrial) the energy saving design is carried out by identifying, on an analytical basis and in terms of primary energy consumption, the effect of a series of energy optimization solutions. It consists essentially in providing, on an analytical basis, technical answers to the question "how much savings do I get if I optimize an existing system ?” or, “which is the primary energy consumption that I will get for each of the different types of solutions that can be adopted in a new building ?. " Once a suitable solution regarding the energy saving has been identified, only then begins the traditional plant design. For this reason the discipline in question is called, “the energy saving design”.
